Rituxirel 500 mg Injection contains rituximab, a chimeric monoclonal antibody specifically designed to target the CD20 antigen found on the surface of B-lymphocytes. By binding to CD20, Rituxirel leads to the destruction of these B-cells through multiple immune-mediated pathways including complement-dependent cytotoxicity and antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity. This helps control abnormal B-cell proliferation in cancers and reduce autoimmune-driven inflammation. Rituxirel is widely indicated for the treatment of B-cell malignancies such as non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), as well as autoimmune disorders like rheumatoid arthritis, granulomatosis with polyangiitis, and microscopic polyangiitis. It is administered through slow intravenous infusion under the supervision of specialized healthcare providers in hospitals or oncology centers.
